 Jennifer Logan Armstrong, LSCSW

Jennifer is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker who received her Master in Social Work from Washburn University in Topeka, KS, and her undergraduate in sociology from Biola University in Southern California.  While living for 6 years in the United Kingdom, Jennifer also received a certificate from the British Association of Counsellors and a Diploma in Theology from ETCW (Evangelical Theological College of Wales).

Jennifer has her EMDRIA certification in EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant.  She also is a P-SEP which is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner which is a training done through Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute.

Jennifer recognizes that the very fact that we are human means that we have at one time or another have experienced “trauma”.  These “traumas” can be large or small disturbances and can distort one’s understanding, experiences, behaviors, and relationships.  Jennifer’s therapeutic approach will assist in decreasing these disturbances and distortions which will lead to one’s increased capacity and resiliency to live out a more authentic life. Jennifer’s Christian faith informs an understanding of God’s love and grace for humanity and his redemptive work throughout history.

Jennifer works with individuals, couples and families to help navigate difficult challenges that are interfering with daily lives and relationships.  Again with her Somatic Experiencing training and her understanding of the Polyvagal Theory and co-regulation she helps clients understand

Brown Hair Woman

About Me:

She desires to help her clients find relief from anxiety or depression, recovery from traumatic events and break free from destructive patterns.  Through this work she hopes to increase resiliency and enhance healthy relationships.

As a single mother over the past 15 years, she has walked with all three daughters through difficult struggles, including living the last several years with a daughter with a severe neuroimmune/autoimmune disorder (PANDAS/PANS-where antibodies attack the healthy joints/tissues causing severe mental and physical distress and pain). She understands the suffering and pain that comes with broken relationships, parenting alone, and struggling through the many phases of parenting.

In addition to her role as a therapist, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her two adult daughters and one teenage daughter, reading and learning, and dreaming of traveling the world again (Post-COVID)!  Many of the photos you see throughout this website were taken by my eldest daughter on our travels.
